Also just started when I updated Friday 4/13/12 to 8.0.5 from 8.0.1 ... I also updated to XP srvs pk 3 and all windows updates. Never saw this issue before. Same thing happens to me cannot remove error without re-start and re-boot.... Just keeps playin right along...

I ordered PT 10 yesterday hopin all bugs worked out.

Based on the documentation on this error from Microsoft (here), this appears to be a memory allocation error. Which would explain why large projects experience it or removing VI's/plug in's fixes it.

I've just noticed it only happens with multiple plugs running and trying to instantiate another, while transport is in play.

No but if your other plug-ins and /or VI's are out of date then yes.

I know its been a while since anyone posted here, but using PT9 on 002rack and am getting this error alot. Only seems to happen when interfacing with an instrument.

Was there ever any solutions?

surfengine, with certainty you'd be on your own given PT 9.x would probably constitute legacy software. I can run PT 9.0.5 with relatively no dramas, audio only but I have encapsulated if you will a stable/reliable working configuration. I'm in a time capsule that gives me time to focus on what matters to me and this works really well for me too. Point is, create your time capsule. This will most likely be trial and error on your behalf but once you've got it touch wood as there'll be no more dramas.
