'Easy Fit' - you should get so lucky. Before you do anything installation-wise make sure you have every part that's supposed to be there. There's been a number of times where I've had furniture that I've had to put together and been missing screws or such. Should be termed 'queasy fit'

Checked box and everything is there. Drilling the hole where the pipes come out of the wall is the bit I’m worrying about

Don't worry - the outside temps will come back Although I doubt they're as high as what they get in Arizona. My sister & her husband live in Mesa Arizona and regularly see temps over 100 F for the summer months. No joke - cars get so hot they sometimes have to drive with oven mitts on to keep from burning their hands.

Air conditioning not only helps with the heat but also humidity.

Good luck my friend and let us know how it works out for you. I don't know how your AC mains are set up but it would be good if the unit is on a separate line from the studio gear. It's amazing the electrical spikes and noise that can get generated when a compressor (or the blower) cuts in and out. Same thing as a refridgerator.

A good idea, and definitely have the computer and peripherals on a UPS as well.

Would help with the electrical noise. You wouldn't believe how dirty AC mains power is.

What Dave said. Do keep in mind that a power conditioner and an UPS are two different animals although some ups's have power conditioning as part of their construction. Long time user of APC equipment here. No need to put the whole studio on an UPS; the computer, monitor screen and any external drives. And a small light fixture so when the power goes out you're not stumbling around in the dark tripping over things

Default Air Con in the studio, advice please.

Thanks guys for the advice.

I’m looking at this one on Ebay at the mo, but my air con unit has a normal plug not what we call in the U.K. a kettle lead, how would I plug this in to the conditioner??

You don't plug the air conditioner unit into the power conditioner. Instead you plug your studio equipment into the conditioner. Stuff like computer, drives, monitor screen would go into an ups. And stuff like any outboard h/w would go into the power conditioner.
