Default agressive pop up: authorization wire exception

All of a sudden i get very aggressive popups even when protools isn't even opened saying:authorization wire exception (an authorization identifier specified was invalid).

It has to do with Ilok, but ilok is fine, it's connected and it was running perfectly well the last 3 days. Everything is installed.

These popups are way too aggressive and annoying especially since they keep popping up when protools isn't even started.

-I have properly installed ilok since on my account it's mentioned "activated"
-It worked well the last 4 days
-Everything else on my ilok does work because when i open logic all my other ilok authorised plugins work fine.

Are you leaving the iLok plugged in all the time? Does your computer have USB3 ports (you don't mention what Mac you have)? It's been reported that sometimes iLoks may have a problem with USB3 ports and to try plugging them into a powered USB hub (wall wart, not powered through the USB port) plugged into the computer's USB3 ports.

Upon restart it seems to work now. i'll keep my fingers crossed. But it's still alarming that ilok gives problems with protools but not with my other ilok related software.

Hopefully it was a freak occurrence.

Did you even look at my post above? Are you doing anything like what I asked about?

I took your comment in consideration, but if USB3 & Ilok were the problem, the other ilok authorized plugins in software should give problems as well.
It turned out that only Protools gave these errors, so it has something to do with protools ilok authorization.
