Default Session File backups

How come in 6.7 I get so many session file backups? When I had 6.4 it never did that just wondering. thanks PS. I have 6.7cs5 running G4 Dual 1 gig Mirror door

what's the setting in the Prefs? You can turn it off and/or set it to keep as many as 99.
