I was a lemonade dealer when I was a kid. I must owe the city a small fortune in permit fees by now!

Sooner or later we're all going to need permits to make music... now that's the really scary thing...

Whatever happened to FREE enterprise... Their's too damn many revenue generating permits and licenses...enough already!

Somebody tell me exactly how a lemonade stand could possibly affect civilization in a manner that justifies the requirement of a permit... really.

Ignorance is no excuse for the law! Really? Just how many pages of law would you have to read to know what the laws are exactly? Try millions - the Internal Revenue Code itself is almost 12,000 pages (even they don't know what it all means), the US Code - tens of thousands, your state statutes - tens of thousands, your county ordinaces, municipal codes, neigborhood restrictions, well you get the idea.

And even if you could (read them all that is), you would have to hire a lawyer to tell you what HE thinks it all means... By that time, half of them would have been changed, repealed, amended or struck down in the courts. Oh yeah, courts, that's another million pages or so of exciting read.
