Monitor Board upgrade and New Users?

Hi all,

I read the topics concerning the Monitor Board upgrade and the Painting problem.
I must say I got a little scared by this.
I want to buy a PC next month, together with a brandnew PTMixPlus system, but after reading this I'm having some doubts.
The PC is a big investment for me, you see...

Therefor my (in my opninion) fair question:
How can I be sure my new PC will have the new Monitor Board inside. Plus: did Digidesign fix the paint coat problem?
Can Digidesign provide the first serial number of the fixed units, so I'm sure I'll buy a new one?
I think this is a fair question because I live in Belgium. I do not know how much older PCs the dealers still have in stock... See the problem? I want to avoid buying an older PC and immediately having to upgrade. Maybe this is not an issue if you live in the US, but to us Euro guys it certainly is.
It would be very nice if Digidesign could provide this information.

My guess would be that the new ones DO have the new monitor section in it and digi did indeed fix the paintcoat armrest thing ......

BUT CHECK THE MONITOR THING BEFORE YOU BUY.

As a matter of fact , I received a new armrest yesterday , tried to install it but gave it up ....... gonna have a go at it in a few minutes ......

I'm from Belgium too, give the digi-guys in Holland a call ...... they're extremely nice.
