Default 002R makes loud pop when pressing mute button

Hi all,

Can anybody tell if the above happens to them. This started today and i can't say i've noticed it before. The pop is quite nasty and comparable to that of a mixer being turned off with active monitors still powered on. I get it when both activating or deactivating mute.

Cheers

Default Re: 002R makes loud pop when pressing mute button

Mine started the same thing last night, only the monitor path totally died as well. After boot I pressed mute as usual to open the monitor path, and after I picked myself up off the floor from the LOUD and sudden pop, I had no monitors and the monitor pot is dead.

Main outputs are good, headphone output is still good, just the monitor pot and mute button. When patching the speakers off the main outputs, the mute button is okay. After power cycling, reboot, cable check/switch, same result.

Broke into the box and cleaned the power connectors again, hoping it was just that. No luck. I haven't replaced the power harness although I've got one from Digi. When the unit went down before, I was on a deadline and couldn't wait for the harness to arrive from digi (they wouldn't ship it overnight) so they suggested to clean & deoxidize the connectors, which fixed it.

Could this be another effect of the power harness issue?

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mark
