I downloaded WildTangent voluntarily from Shockwave.com (how embarassing!)....it was some kind of driver that was apparently needed to run some game. Never had a problem with it but I removed it anyway cause I didn't need it. No problems since either.

Oh wait, won't we get in trouble for being off topic?!

Please...everyone...be gentle, i'm new!

well actualy to me it is kinda related..im trying to get as much stuff out of my pc that i dont need prior to installing 7.0.......someone mentioned i might have some things not configured right because of buffer error problems and i thought id try to optimize my rig as much as i can before i install something new and this WildTangent thing was lurking in the shadows.........chas

A suggestion for your PT7 upgrade: buy another system drive and do a fresh load of everything, or ghost your present drive to the new one and remove it. If (AKA when) you have problems with 7, you can always re-instal the old drive so you can make music. I have been rotating system drives now for each update(6.1 to 6.4, to 6.7, to 6.9) and each time I have had to go back once due to some complication. Having the previous working drive ready to go has been a lifesaver. Best $50 you can spend!
