Yup that should be where they should be. But reading a few posts here looks like there are some have issues with AIR plugs including Xpanda2 not necessarily the issue you’re having. Also the complaint is a lack of support when submitting a support request.

Still being bundled with a free version you’ll only get a taste of the presets to show you the potential of the plug. Btw, is that a screen shot of your Xpanda2?

Yeah...that's disappointing. I know it's free but come on.

The first 3 at the beginning of the thread are mine, the last one was from a youtube video .

I am doing another install. If I am still not lucky, I'm going to try to copy the files you said are the correct ones to my docs folder and see if that works.

If you haven’t already got it you should download the Audio Plug-in Guide as that shows you how to use the plug-in shell where you usually load presets from as with Xpanda2.

Good luck sometimes a reinstall can work too.

hmmmm Windows again..... was it working previous or have you only just did the initial install?

It's all working except I don't have any presets. I'm trying to lay down a drum track but I can't because the presets are missing. This is a new installation.

I am closer to resolving this, but I need to know which location the .tfx and/or .ptxp files should be in (I believe the .tfx files are the preset files).

There is an issue in the installer where it is not installing or extracting the Xpand!2 preset files. I went to AIR's website and downloaded a trial version of Xpand!2, which is the same package that should be supplied with PT First. Finally I got a bunch of preset files! They installed to C:\Program Files (x86)\AIR Music Technology\Xpand!2\Presets. I copied the files to C:\Program Files\AIR Music Technology\Factory Content\Track Presets\Avid\AIR Instruments Bundle\Xpand!2 but still do not get presets loaded when I open Xpand!2 in PT First.

Does anyone know the location, for Pro Tools First, where the .tfx files should be located?
