Default Recording Tempo Changes Live

Hi Folks,

I'm curious if there is a technique for recording tempo changes live in ProTools (I'm using 11).

I'm recording a waltz with a piano virtual instrument. The piano part was brought in as a MIDI file from Finale. Waltzes tend to play with tempo A LOT, and it would be daunting to draw in all of those quirky tempo changes. But I do need my click track to reflect those changes to record a vocal part.

If I could just hit "record" and just tap a button for each beat, that would be marvelous. Even better would be if I could somehow conduct this, and a camera would detect the tip of my baton.

So basically, I'm hoping to "drive" the tempo myself, have Pro Tools follow me, while also recording those changes to my tempo "track."

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance,
Bobby
