Default expert help: external efx connected digitally

Hi

I need some help to connect my outboard efx digitally to pro tools

My setup: Pro tools mix 6.4.1

AD8000SE

888/24

888/24

The AD8000 acrt as master, the 888/24 interfaces are connected with superclock. SLAVE sync mode

External efx:

tc electronics M2000 connected with AES EBU to aes ebu ch 1-2

tc electronics M one connected spdif adapter to AES EBU into 888/24 to aes ebu ch 3-4

tc electronics D two connected spdif adapter to AES EBU into 888/24 to aes ebu ch 5-6

Lexicon PCM 80 connected spdif adapter to AES EBU into 888/24 to aes ebu ch 7-8

I use the neutrik AES EBU to spdif adapter

M2000 connected to channel 1-2 and d two connected to channel 5-6 works great. I can also swap the connections for channel 5-6 to the lexicon and the m one and it works fine.

BUT: ch 3-4 and 7-8 does not work. I can only monitor the output signal as I know the 888/24 always have the digital out active. But I get no sound into the 888/24

question:

How can I get all the efx work at the same time with the 888?24? It is impossible bacause the 888/24 is in slave mode? Is the only solution to connect them to the AD8000 with a aes ebu card installed? Anyone have experience with using outboard digitally? What is the best solution having all my efx work at the same time?

Hope someone can help

there is NO such thing as this
you are confusing a AES to 75 ohm converter
this is only to used if you are using coax cables for AES/EBU and is primarily used in longer runs of AES signal, adapting 150 ohm AES signals from a 75 ohm source i.e. A SDI/HDI DVR etc...
IT DOES NOT change to format of a digital signal it ONLY changes the impedance

Should that be 110 ohm AES signals…?

yes I know it`s just a impedance converter , but the tc electronic efx and lexicon will work great with aes ebu using those adapters. But why does it work on ch 5-6 in pro tools but not on the other channels?
