Default Monitoring with USB speakers?

I was thinking of buying some decent USB speakers (soundsticks?). My question is how would i monitor sound out of my sessions? is there an adaptor for the digital out on the OO1? i know in the sound control panel u can monitor your computer through the Digi but what about the other way around? my current speakers suck royaly and i'm on a tight budget.
any advice would be waycool.
