Default 888/24 info

I have been offered a 888/24 for a very good price, I do know there has been some issues about this interface (20 bit problems??!)... I could need some details about what to check for (I do not know about revision issues etc on the 888´s).

Any details about what I should know about would be mostly appreciated.

Thanks.
