Ozone 3 ALWAYS returns mono as RTAS

First of all, I'm asking Izotope tech support the same question, but I wanted to also ask it here in case others have experienced the same issue and have any advice.

I've spent hours trying to figure out why Ozone 3.15 RTAS makes my stereo signal mono in Pro Tools LE 8.0.4 in Mac OS 10.6.6. I have used Ozone many times, but I'm not sure if I had used it since upgrading to PT 8.0.4 a while back, so I don't know if there's a version compatibility issue that I didn't notice.

Whenever Ozone is engaged on a track, it makes the signal mono, even with all 6 of the modules bypassed. I first noticed this when I tried to use the stereo widening module, and realized that it didn't work -- this was also indicated by the fact that the vectorscope always indicates a mono signal, no matter what settings I use. I made sure that within channel ops, Ozone isn't set to create a mono signal. Either way, something is clearly wrong just based on the fact that by turning on Ozone as an RTAS plugin, even with all 6 modules turned off (for all intents and purposes, it should be 'bypassed' in this state) the signal still outputs mono. Doing an overall bypass to the plugin returns the signal to stereo. In other words, no matter what, Ozone returns a mono signal -- the other 5 modules (compressors, EQ, etc.) work fine, though.

I have all of the settings within Ozone and Pro Tools set correctly, and the versions of PT LE and Ozone 3 as stated above are the latest versions. It still doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Try Ozone 4 and it'll will probably be OK!
