Adat bridge with Mackie d8b
I have synk problems when I connect 2 adat bridges with a mackie d8b mixer.....
in fact I get no sound at all. Nobody around seams to know why. |

No sound probably means no clock.
Make sure pro tools is set to OPTICAL sync mode and make sure the DB8 is outputting clock via it's lighpipe card. |

I cant set protools to adat synk because the d8b dont send any and I cant find where in its setup to turn it on..

Double check me on this one but I believe your going to need a ADAT card for the Mackie db8 to send out optical sync. On the Pro Tools side make sure the ADAT bridge is the first or master interface off the your first Digidesign audio card to send and receive optical sync. Brad |

I have two adat bridges one connected to mix core and one connected to mix farm. There is four adat cards in the d8b all of them connected to the adat bridge.
Now why doesnt it work??? I cant figure it out. I used the same setup with a Yamaha 02/r mixer and there was no trouble there... |
