This happens once you start selling too many mp3 players and mobile phones... they are planning starting to manufacture TV sets as well as I have heard... Apple should just open OSX up for self made PC's, they Hackitosh them anyway.

I don't mind the Mac Pro being phased out.
It was too expensive anyway.

Maby they will focus on putting more power and upgradabillity into the IMAC and MiniMac

Now that I've actually used the 6-core for a while, it's safe to say that I got what I paid for.

If they do, we'll all be buying thunderbolt expansion chassis to house our HDX cards next year at this time. . . .

Max cable length 2m so for those of us with machine rooms it could be a problem.

I think the issue with the 2m meters is going to be solved when thunderbolt goes optical.

Or deciding between that and crossgrading to the 1st gen. of Thunderbolt DSP.

Beefed up MacMini (dual CPU and more RAM addressing) with thunderbolt to external chassis, RAID array and multiple monitors - sounds a pretty good option.

Never gonna happen.

You need to have a hi-end product if just only for prestige.

To be able to have the fastest CPU´s inside a chassi it needs to be big, for the coolers and fans, and then you can also put some PCIe slots inside it too as you don´t need to save space.
