New to HD 2 Digitest doesnt see cards

Hi

Pro Tools has been working fine for a few weeks and i had a steep learning curve , but ive discovered only one of the cards is being seen by the program , so ive run digitest and it doesnt see any cards , i am running digitest 8.0 pro tools 8.04 on a mac pro , i have checked seating and it appears to be fine , tried a few nudges here and there lightly and it is definately in there ok , anyone got an idea ? do i contact the seller or avid direct ? is there a phone number ?

What order are your cards in, from top to bottom? Are you sure that your flex-cables are configured properly? It is easy to get wrong, and not very intuitive. Do a search as there is a lot of info on this on the site. sb

Hi , yes i have checked they are in the right order , i am new to pro tools and have deduced that because the hardware setting say there are 6 processors available for voices the HD2 must be working but why wont digitest see the cards ?

Hi,

With pro tools booted, open the system usage window and check the process card is showing!! then load up lots of plugins and see if they instantiate on the process card.


Check your flex cable between the 2 cards. it goes from slot B on the core card to slot A on the process card!
