Default Xpand samples

Hi, first post, I have a library wanting to publish my music which I have solely produced with pro tools and Xpand, but need clarification there are no samples in Xpand. Can someone clarify please.
Are drum loops samples? is there anything in Xpand that could be classified as samples ?. thanks in advance, Murray

Nothing contained in Xpand requires royalty payment, if that is what you mean.

You should get clarification on this. Typically, what they would be referring to is samples taken from another artistic work. This has been prevalent in rap and hip-hop productions since DJs began mixing, scratching, and looping from vinyl.

The samples in a virtual or hardware instrument are not "sampled" from an artistic work. They are by design free to be used in the creation and performance of artistic works.

If absolutely no samples then it rules out almost any synth out there as well. Unless we are talking about vintage analog "synths" then any digital synth uses samples somehow.

Yea I know right? This is very confusing to a newbie, I've spent hours trying to find official answer. Haven't found one yet. To me if I have to play a note on my midi to create a sound that is not a sample. I sort of need a legal statement to confirm that. (or maybe try another library might be better idea. cheers.

Hey, fellow Kiwi here; what's the name of your album? I'd love to give it a listen to.
