S3 responsiveness on play

I'm having an issue after updating to Eucon 20.1 (from 18.3) where the S3 becomes unresponsive for a second after hitting play (faders, pan, solo and so on).
I've noticed that this occurs only after recalling a layout from either the S3 or the iPad. Before that everything is fine but once it's done, the only fix is to reload the session.
Strangely, recalling layouts from Eucontrol layouts window does NOT produce the issue.
Anyone experiencing this issue ?

I've been having lag issues, 3-4 seconds for any read/write automation. I'm sure Avid is on their way to correcting this.

If you are to turn "Auto-launch" for EuControl OFF, reboot, manually open EuControl and your session... do you still get this issue?
