Default "tabbing" between Markers

I am wondering if there is shortcut to just tab to the next marker, or tab back to the previous one. I know that with my number pad on my keyboard I can do . marker# . to get to the different markers, but just wondering if there is a shortcut to just tab to the next one or the previous one. Thanks.

No, but good idea. It would benefit certain work flows especially when zoomed in a lot.

Actually, Link Timeline and Edit Selection and select the Marker Ruler. Tab tabs forward and Ctrl+Tab tabs backwards.

Ah yes, I stand corrected on that one. I had that unlinked. Good call.

Sweet, I'll try that. Thanks.

Now, the next question, anyway to set that Tab and Ctrl+Tab to be triggered by a CC# from a little MIDI controller (like the Korg nanoKontrol)?

That'd be sweet to be able to be on the other side of the room at the piano, and be able to not only control the transport, but also be able to jump around to different marker points.

This would have to be done with a macro and it's a good candidate for the Skunk Works thread. The MIDI controller would trigger the macro which would invoked the action in PT. I think AutoHotKey can be triggered by MIDI events but I really haven't checked it out. Something worth looking at.

What do you mean by "select the marker ruler?" The marker ruler is visible but I don't know how to select it. Right now if I press tab it goes to the end of the audio region.

Click in the Marker Ruler, like you would in a Track.

Cheers,
