Default Pro Tools could not load the following plug-ins...

Hi all

New to this forum, but more specifically, new to this problem.

Recently clean installed my iMac (10.8.5) for it to run Pro Tools 10 and 11 only.

I have co-installed. Pro Tools 11 is working fine. However, Pro Tools 10 is giving me the following message...please see attachment (picture). I have used Pro Tools 10 for a year now, never had this issue, so it must be to do with the co-install?

"Pro Tools could not load the following Plug-ins..."

I have deleted all relevant preferences, emptied trash and re-installed Pro Tools 10. I've also checked my iLok is up to date.

These all look like the stock plug-ins that come with Pro Tools... so there must be an issue with the files themselves. I've read somewhere about how in the directory, they're just not in the right folder or something similar. However, can anyone shed any light please?

I've done some searching, and nothing (apart from the things I've tried up there) has come up.

It's not the end of the world, however I would like PT10 to load with no issue...

Thanks very much everyone

Hi and Welcome to the Forum

Did you install the AIR Plugin collection for both 10 and 11 if you did a clean install as it is a separate installer for both 11 and 10?
Both should be in your Avid account for download.

One is called Creative collectiin I think and the other is 11.1 for PT11

Best Regards
Christopher

Is this where the problem lies?

I am currently downloading the AIR plugin collection for 11, I cannot see the one for 10. Do you have the link?

Thanks very much for the reply and welcome!

At least one of the plugins you show in this picture is not an Avid plugin - I'm talking about Kontakt 5 (that's from NI). NI does not use a dongle but serial number registration via NI Service Center. Do you have any other NI plugins?

I would trash preferences DAE,volumes, Plist etc and reinstall as something have gone wrong with your setup. Do you have an ilok2 and the latest ilok license manager ILM and if so, I still would reinstall and retart the computer and see what happens then. What versions of PT are you installing? PT10/11?

This isn't supposed to happen at all so there is something with your installation and or setup.

Hi all

Christopher: I have done exactly that...inc reinstall. I am installing both 10 and 11, is this an issue? and Yes, ilok 2 and updated software...

Musicman: Yes I have a couple external plugins such as drumagog. I use kontakt player for output REV.

I noticed I cannot contact avid for support unless I have a contract..

What is my next option?

As far as I can tell, I am installing everything safely and correctly, in the usual place and making sure my software is up to date. I can't think of anything that I might've done differently...

Have you tried the ilok key in another USB port and do ypu use a Hub for the ilok? I have the same versions as you and we were up and running after a few minutes somthere is something you have done differently than us.

We also have PT10.3.8 HD and 11.1.2 HD on the same drives along with the plugins.

Chris

EDIT: we need more info of your system details, harddrives, makes models and how many? Where are you installing PT10 and 11 and what drive are you installing the plugins on etc etc etc .. END EDIT!

Thanks!

I have tried different usb ports, still same issue. And no, I don't use a hub.
Is it worth mentioning I don't have HD?
I've just noticed I have 10.3.6, could this be a reason?

I have 10 & 11: I am new to 11 so I just preferred to have both while I slowly moved over.

iMac 2.7Ghz 10.8.5
16 GB RAM
Stock hard drives etc,

so far only 10 and 11 are installed on this machine, nothing else (apart from usual apple stuff)
