I got the DSM yesterday and it does feel like cheating but i like the fact that it doesn't seem to bump the bass up the way most compressors do when hard limiting, course just getting started with it.
Now that is good to know. I will try it on some acoustic guitar tracks before the weekend is out. Thanks!

Anyone using bx_panEQ? Looks like the same principle of PS22 but with an impressive amount of control

Have had it for a while now and hardly use it. I brought it mainly to use as an effect ala the demo videos and nothing more. I got it as a fill-in way back before PA changed the way dynamic discounts worked with discounted plugins. I needed something to fill out the voucher I had and combined with the dynamic discount I made out quite well.

That said there are things I'd rather have like the HG2 or Phil's Cascade right now.

Thanks a lot! I agree it looks great on the demo videos but I've never had trouble getting interesting MS and panning effects, I have Brauer Motion and rarely use it so I think I'll pass and see what else shows up.

I'm in the same boat. I have it, but never use it. Not sure why. It functioned. I bet there are times when I should try it and never thing about it. I used to use it once in a while after I first got it.

Yeah, i think a lot of us get so busy that we end up forgetting what tools we have. I do a lot of the "O, yeah, i have that" when somebody mentions something i haven't used in a while

Same was true here aswell until we stopped buying plugin dupes upon plugin dupes just because they were on sale . Now that we have put that cash in an ”outboard gear fund” since last year and believe me - We have bought two more Distressors ELX-8 versions, 1 Europa Super clean preamp and 3 more 500 series units for our racks which are now almost filled up on all 3 500 lunchboxes with 6 units each so .. I promise you won’t forget what you have if you can touch it and feel it everyday

Oh oh and I did forget one thing hehe - not counting outboard synths We bought a very nicely taken care of Dual Rectifier as a studio here was closing down and needed cash fast as hell so we paid like $700 which is a steal and for that we got a pretty fine speciment of a Fender Strat from 99’ in candy red with ”really cool road worm” factory paint for an additional $350 with hardcase and some really nice cables and tuning gadgets in the case that was never even used!!

So the gear fund is now building up again as we haven’t bought any new plugins except for a few VI additional libraries for Nexus and some packs from Cymantics so lets see what extra gear we can buy this year as we keep saving that plugin money

Lesson for us is that we spent wayy too much on software and now we have some goodies installed in the studio we can touch and never crashes our DAW’s etc hehe

True, I've found myself thinking of buying plugins I forgot I have, I should do like Christopher and start buying hardware. I hate that since I started using two screens with Skootch some of the plugins in the list are lost beyond the borders and I can forget about them for months.
