I actually 100% seriously did that just now just to humor you but it didn't help.

What would really help is if someone else could check it on Windows. Even the demo* has the same problem.

*popup text on the download link says 2.8 and the installer file info says 2.9.6 but it IS actually 2.9.7 when you check inside the plugin

I don't have the problem you're having. What I am seeing though is that apparently you can only have one instance of a plugin in either chain. For instance I can only have a reverb in the first chain but if I want a reverb on the second chain I can but the reverb in the first chain goes away. I don't know if this is by design or what.

they have fixed it now as of 28th of november. same version number. i guess they just messed up when compiling.

edit: but the layer fx still can't be reordered or changed.

I have installed a fresh 2.9.7 installer and i am running High Sierra latest update ...

Some of the sounds are not loading ... anyone having a similar issue ?

Not in Sierra. Bulent doesn't keep up with the latest OSX revisions all that fast. Remember it's a small shop with only a couple of people if that. That being said what sounds aren't loading? Stock sounds or from one of the expansion packs?
