Closing Region Gaps after Strip Silence
Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to close the gaps left between all of the audio regions that are left one you perform the 'strip silence' on a track? I have a narrator that has left quite large gaps between sentences and I am hoping to cut all of these out using Strip silence and then find a quick way to bring all of the separated regions back next to each other so that they can be consolidated into one track. Thanks, Nick |

Re: Closing Region Gaps after Strip Silence
Hi,
Try this : Triple click to select all the clips on the track Create new track In the clip list menu, select Timeline drop order -> left to right Drag the selected clips from the clip list to the new track Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk |

But be careful that the clips will be imported in the order of the CLIP LIST, not the TIMELINE ! So you'll have to find a way that the clip list order matches the timeline order (by sorting the clips, or rename them, ...). |

Re: Closing Region Gaps after Strip Silence
You'll have to sort clips by "Timeline order".
As this feature does not exists, the trick is to sort the clips by "User time stamp" and timestamp all the clips with their current timeline timecode. As you can't batch timestamp clips (another missing feature...), you can apply an Audiosuite with a flat setting (Audiosuite Gain of 0.0 dB for example, set up to "create individuals files"). This will automatically timestamp your audio files in the timeline order. Alternatively, you can first consolidate the track, and then apply Strip Silence, so that the clips are named subsequently. |
