If You Were In This Situation

- Solid Working G5 Dual 2.0, 6gb RAM
- Magma Chassis D-P7RB-2497 (This is the 64bit 7 slot Magma expansion unit and it is not compatible with MacPro Intel.)
- HD Core, and 3 HD Accel (PCI-x), 2 x 192's and 1 x 192 Digital
- EOSS PT 8.0.1cs2
- Small, but busy tracking facility, mostly rhythm section work.

I'm in between projects so the timing is not bad to consider upgrading computer etc, however, I could easily wait a few months to see what shakes out of the Avid tree, in hopes that I won't be kicking myself for buying a new chassis to accommodate my existing cards...

I know many have pondered/solved(?) the same problem. What are the best suggestions/threads out there for this dilemma?

If you need it now, do it. If not wait. Also AES this Nov4th-7th. Avid will be there this year. They could announce something new, or not.
