Default Duplicating Regions not always lining up on Grid

I have a question and I know this has something to do with how many samples are in a "tic"/Beat...
however,
When you copy and paste or duplicate a region that is exactly a bar in length on the grid, why does the transient or the region shift off of the grid? I've found this happens when I check a client's click track to the grid. The transients shift a sample or two back and forth.

If anyone can explain the technical reason for this, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to understand how this happens a little more.

i can't explain why it happens, but it happened to me a lot. What I ended up doing was creating one measure of click, or whatever, checking to make sure it was perfect, and then consolodating it. For some reason, the act of consolodating it made sure that it never waivered from the grid, no matter how many times that it was duplicated. Works consistently for me,, anyway...
