Default Re: Midi Import not working correctly

Hi,
I don't know why this forum does not let me post a new thread. This is the closest to my problem. I created a midi file (standard midi file) in Finale Music Notation Software. When I try to open it in Pro Tools it will not recognize the file. I click import----> midi and the file does not show where it is saved in my drive. I tried type 0, and type 1, but it does not work. I may think it's a format problem. The files exported from Finale says it's standard midi file in a Mac, in a PC it says midi sequence. If I export a midi file form Pro Tools it will recognize it back to it. But not from Finale. If this is a format problem, is there a free converter for this?
Thanks.
