2 questions - SMPTE and MP3
I just got 001 for editing and recording and i have 2 questions which i didn't see addressed previously.
1. I'm aware that the SMPTE ruler is disabled in ptle but can i transfer files w/ smpte info attached. i want to file share between my audio post station and my colleague's video post workstation. For instance, he'll get an audio clip that may need sweetening so he'll dump to our shared server and i'll pick it up and do some processing. Then i put it back on the server and he'll grab it and lay it back to video. Can SMPTE info be attached to that audio file and will it survive the trip? 2. I know that the MP3 plugin will encode which i will use for archiving to CDRW but does ptle convert back to AIFF or SDII from MP3? If not, what's the best way to accomplish this? thanks for the help. |
