Default Apple Mac 24" on a D-Control

Hi All,

Anybody have an Apple LED Cinema Display 24" on a D-Control? I'm thinking of putting this on a D-Control but the D-Control guide mentions that anything over 20" and quote "may obstruct the view of the meter bridge on the Main Unit".

Anybody have any experience with this? Suggestions?

Thanks

I have a single 24" Dell on the D-Controls swing arm. Sits smack between the Meter bridge counter displays and the RH focus strip quite neatly.

My only issue with it has been it's height as my RH, mid-field monitor gets obstructed by the Dell so there's quite an acoustic shadow.

Maybe that helps your decision making?

Cheers

TM

Thanks moofie. I think i'll play it safe with a HP 21.5". Sux a bit tbh, I wouldve preferred a bigger option.

Here's one way to drop the monitor down.

Interesting product, i'm just worried you would need to be a pretty person to be able to see the monitor all the time. But its definately something i'll keep in mind. I quite liked the D-Control tray, its so simple its genius :)

I took a look at another D-Control desk today with a 20" monitor on it. There's definately space for a 24" but I can see what Digi means when they say it "may" obscure your view. Silly thing but it could become super annoying over time.

I just installed 2 of the Icon Tray Easel's on my new D-Control's and they work great. We use a 24" LCD and it only rises above the meter bridge by 2 inches which makes it very easy to see the Projector screen in the front of the room.
What's more important is that it doesn't block any of the sound that is coming towards you. We must remember, sound is why we are there mixing in the first place! This along with the Icon Tray keyboard and trackball makes a big improvement on the D-Control. Get it!!
I will post pictures next week to show you.
