Default TL Everyphase or SoundToys Phasemistress ?

Any opinions ? Looking for a phaser, the TL Audio seems to have an advantage being a TDM plug-in and both are the same price.

I am verrrry happy with Everyphase. It sounds great - it is easy to use and
has all the features I need.

I tried Phasemistress and it is cool but way too complicated for use in session. Most of the controls dont appear to affect the sound much. RTAS and HTDM are only good for playback not live use in my opinion.

I seem to remember Phasemistress was announced at NAMM in 2002 but it only just shipped. I am guessing TDM will be another long wait.

Everyphase Rocks.

The TL stuff has not only a great sound, but the interface and operational aspects are extremely clean and uncluttered, very professional stuff that looks great and just plain works. Can't go wrong.

Man, EveryPhase is awesome. They released it about a month ago and they already have added some new features that make it even better. It's actually the only phaser plug-in I will use now!

I agree.. the TL Everyphase sounds amazing and being TDM as well as RTAS can be used on Aux tracks if desired.

I've been beta-testing both for months, and both plugins are incredible.

TLL wins the "phat and creamy" award, while Sound Toys owns the "agressive and versatile" catagory by a mile. I don't find the latter to be overly complicated at all. Though Every-Phase's simplicity is part of it's charm. You can't make it sound bad.

Phase-Mistress will be true TDM VERY soon. That is currently #1 on their priorities list.

At the Same time, Every Phase will almost definitely be getting more features soon. Tod is really into making it the best it can be.

You could be happy with either, but they are different enough that you will want both. At $250, that's not so tough!

I have not used the TL product but I have spent a LOT of time with Phase Mistress. IMHO, it is THE best sounding and most powerful phaser I have ever seen/heard (30 years in recording/programming). Pretty easy to use and the front panel contols are pretty common: Mix, Frequency, Depth, Resonance and Rate etc. The "Tweak" pages are not for the faint at heart but they offer parameteres I have never seen and you can really create some really wild variations (has both all ODD and EVEN stages up to 24 and the "Odd" stages sound VERY cool. The "Style" menu REALLY changes the overall sound of phasing in drastic ways and there are a LOT of them. The bummer is that it is not TDM yet but the sound and fucntionality are TOTALLY killer.

Being Win OS only, EveryPhase is my only choice.
However, so satisfying, I am not missing an alternative
Latest release is smokin!

I haven't used the Phasemistress, but the Everyphase rocks. It's one of the few plugins whose sound said "analog outboard" to me as soon as I inserted it.

TL EveryPhase is SWEET!
I'd like to install it on all of my systems.
It comes with some very usable presets
