You're right, it depends. But to run continuous audio on 64 tracks with edits, you will definitely need more than one drive. |

Mixplus is about the minimum you'll get away with unless you are a bit minimalist IMHO..
The PT mixer wil use one and a bit chips, decent reverb and modulation FX will take 1 chip per instance. I tend to use critical EQ from the Sony, (totally eats DSP) waves ren, and then as much McDSP stuff as I can ! Patch in external reverbs via your 888 after tracking will save you some DSP, plus do your best to get things as near as perfect on the way in saves on the need for plugs.. |
