Default Can't log in PTF

Hello,

Can't log in PTF: blank login window during the launch, I'm skipping it, trying to sign in from the Dashboard, which is telling me I don't have internet connection. Tried to disable firewall with no success.

I also cannot log in into the app manager with message "unknown error".

Tried to use different internet connections as well.

My specs are in the profile.

I wanna add that I was really considering buying Pro Tools after some tests with PTF. So I’ve recorded some tracks from my synth and happily departed to another country with poor internet for one month to mix them down. First day I decided to load the project and faced this unsolvable problem with failed connection which I’ve already described. So instead of working on this project and learning PT, I got stuck, unable even to recover those recorded files.

What kind of product is this?

Pro Tools First is based around cloud storage, so a good internet connection is pretty much required in order to access your stored projects.

If you are just interested in testing PT and do not have a consistent internet connection, you would probably be better off with the 30 day Pro Tools Trial which is based on Pro Tools standard and does not require you to store projects in the cloud out of the box.

As for the Application Manager, you shouldn't really need it at this point in your testing since you can access everything from your Avid Master Account. Application Manager is just a nice tool for keeping your software up to date.

Hi Will K.
Thank you for your reply.

Actually I have an internet connection here, anyway I can't sign in PTF. This internet connection is quite enough for synchronisation purposes, but if I'll decide to start download PT for test, it will take ages. More of that, I don't want to be in a rush with the trial version.

So back to my issue, do you have any suggestion regarding why can't I sign in?

Thank you in advance

Hello again,
Sometimes I got this message instead of login window:

You don't have permission to access "http://api.eu-west-1.everywhere.avid.com/auth/sso/login/start/auto/?" on this server.
Reference #18.a6e0d4d9.1510377977.8f9ed598

Sometimes it's just blank.

Tried to reinstall, no success.

Anyone?

I've escalated this to Avid to see if someone can chime in.
