HD I/O Interphase Light stays orange
Hello all, i'm in the process of getting rid of my Mac Pro. Current setup is as follows:
Avid HD Native (Pci Card) installed in a Sonnet Echo Express SE I Thunderbolt 2-to-PCIE Card Expansion System (DigiLink cable to HD I/O interphase) thunderbolt 2 cable connected to Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter from Apple. New Mac book Pro (thunderbolt 3) (OSX sierra) ----- the problem is that when I connect everything and turn on the HD I/O, the light on the power button stays an orange glow, and pro tools does not see the interphase. --- When I disconnect the thunderbolt cable from computer, Interphase turns green. --- Any suggestions? p.s. running Pro tools HD 12 |

Weird for sure. Did you install your
HD Driver? Do you have your ilok connected? Does your ilok have the digi io license? Correct startup sequence is HDio first then computer next

Re: HD I/O Interphase Light stays orange
HD Driver is up to date, (12.6.1)
ilok connected and everything works when I open a session without the card connected. No digi I/o license on my ilok, but according to AVID website, that license is only needed on pro tools version 12.6, and I'm running version 12.3.1 --- I thought it might be the apple converter (thunderbolt to thunderbolt 3) but I just received another converter by cablematters, and the same problem arises. When connected to the computer, HD I/O turns orange, and as soon as I disconnect the thunderbolt cable from the computer it turns green immediately. Has anyone had this problem? |

Have you tried running Digitest? Do you have another digi cable to test?

Re: HD I/O Interphase Light stays orange
I would say go to your dealer and get another box to test with.
It's either your HDio your TB io or your TB on the MBP. Since you said you changed your TB cables. Also you could change your mini-digi link....

Re: HD I/O Interphase Light stays orange
Did you ever get this worked out? Mine is doing the same thing. I put the native card in a tower and it works fine.
I called Sonnet, waiting for some advice from them. |
