Re: 5.1 to 5.01
Hi digigirly,
I installed 5.1 yesterday, and I had absolutely no problem playing my former sessions with the 5.01 application (moved by the installer to Obsoleted DIGI folder). So my advice is: go for it. Yaro

Re: 5.1 to 5.01
OK, DG!
I suggest going with the 5.1, it is a great improvement, but I would be slightly cautious if you haven't upgraded to OS 9.1. It works like a dream with 9.1. I haven't tried it with 9.0.4, so it may still be just as good with that. Anyone using it with the older OS? Anyway 5.1 has some really cool features, the best one is being able to drag plugins from one insert to another or another track which saves loads of time. 5.0.1 sessions, no problem at all. Good luck!

Re: 5.1 to 5.01
Hey all....
I'm using 5.1 with OS8.6 with no crashes yet, two weeks and counting. 5.1 has a few problems, but way fewer problems than new cool features. Later, Brian

Re: 5.1 to 5.01
Yeah, I'm working fine on 8.6 as well, with a couple of isolated crashes after opening and closing a bunch of sessions.
But -- when are we going to get a response about why the 24-Bit Stereo Mixer hogs more chips than in 5.01. Isn't it taking away what we (theoretically) gain with the new Waveshell II...? |
