iZotope RX8 September?

Hey, just thought of another one - a special EQ that works on speech components of highs. Scan for the Fs, Ss, Shs etc of speech in a waveform, then just boost (or cut - usually boost though) just those, without affecting the highs of anything else around. Often do this manually on disastrously recorded radio mics.

Well darn, a 50% off RX sale started today but no word on RX8, so looks like they're not following the pattern of the last few years.

Just picked up a $99 upgrade to rx7 from rx6; loyalty upgrades ends at the end of September. If rx8 is to follow soon maybe I'll get lucky with a free upgrade to rx8? I could have sworn I got an email from iZotope a couple of days ago teasing rx8.

Thanks for the clarification. I knew there was an email from iZotope but didn't save it so I was running on guesswork. Still wouldn't mind seeing rx8 if those reading the tea leaves here are right (or even close to being right).

In future updates the following would be good have - Reverb Match, EQ Match.

The one thing that I gather we occasionally struggle on is when the mic (facing) axis changes .. is there something thats being used to fix an axis jump?

You're talking about when someone changes from speaking/singing into the business end of the mic to off to something other than that right? Or is it more like one person is talking into the mic interviewing someone and the interviewee isn't talking directly into the mic? Maybe something like a combination of eq match and ambience match would work?
