dilemma with 7.3.1 onto 8

I had a song that I recorded a week before I got version 8 pro tools.
Originally was recorded with version 7.3.1. and evertime I try to open it in version 8 it disappears right before it loads and dies.

Anyway what can be the problem and how do I fix it?

I havent worked on anything new with version 8 yet but do you think it will happen then to?well I guess that would be hard to answer.
