-1122 errors with chassis

I've been suffering with the -1122 errors upon launching ProTools with my G5 2.7 and older Magma 13 32bit chassis. It seemed like one in four launches would fail and require a restart. Since I pulled my chassis from out of the rack and opened the lid so it ventilates much better, I haven't had a single error in over two weeks.
