Default \"Session must be on an audio record volume\"?

i jus bought a Mac Pro and i have been using an Mbox on PC.

So i set up my Mac and installed Pro Tools 6.9 LE everything was installed and running but whenever i go to start a new session (name the session, then click save) the message comes up "Session must be on audio record volume". so i looked at the settings jus to see if i could work how to fix this, but i cant seem to resolve it. Would anyone be able to help me with this?

thanks

Be sure to check the compatibility pages to see if 6.9 will work on a Mac Pro. I don't think it will. I think you need to upgrade to LE 7.1.1.

1. You should never store sessions or audio on the same drive as your system.
2. Check the Workspace and make sure the drive you're trying to write to is set for R in the A and V columns.

This may not be of help if there are compatibility issues with your new computer, but whenever I switched from PC to Mac, I could not use the same external hard drive I used before to save until I reformatted it. I was getting the same message that you are. I, of course, did not reformat it because I did not want to lose all the data that was on it, but I went and bought a new external hard drive and formatted it. Since then, I have not had this problem.
