Default My PT9 is awesome/stable.. is PT10 Upgrade worth it?

PT9 is by far the best and most stable version I've had since the beginning.
I recently made a purchase that came with a copy of PT10.. so I now own PT10.. but have not installed it because I wanted to give plenty of time for the usual bugs to get worked out.

As PT10 users.. just curious in your own words.. why is PT10 worth it.. and did you have any plug ins that worked in PT9 NOT work in PT10?
(another reason I'm hesitant).. Do all PT9 plugins work fine in Pt10?

Thanks.

Believe.....PT 10.3.2 Is by far most estable than PT 9, actualy I just use PT9 few months, Since PT 10 was release I used with DIGI002R, My MBOX 2 and MOTU 828mkii; every of this interfaces are very good, no problem at all, I use Intel DX58SO, 12 Gb ram, 1 gb EVGA Video Card, Windows 8, 1 TB for sessions, Mackie CU. In all day i don't have any stop. by DAE error. Processor set only with 5 cores and 80 % processor use. This is My First choice. Between my Cubase 4, (I use for midi arranging) same as Nuendo 4. but all my work came from Pro Tools 10. Is great don't waste time setting for run well. with this version of PT I don't have any issue!

Cheers!

My version of PT 9 was very stable, but upgrading to PT 10 HD native has been really good, the ram cache for playback and all the other new features are well worth the upgrade :)

I have had minor issues(non are show stoppers) with both versions but love the new features in 10HD(Clip Gain and RAM caching). Since the 10 upgrade will(should) net you a license that will run either, I would do the update to your iLok and then clone your system drive(the drive with 9 installed), install the cloned drive(keep the old PT9 system drive untouched) and install 10, BUT*****don't do anything if you have work half done. Its just not a good idea to mess with a working rig in the middle of a project(10 will open projects started in 9, but 9 will NOT open 10 sessions unless they are saved in the older format). Having said that(and I did what I described), I never have needed to go back to 9(but my 9 system drive is sitting on a shelf, ready to go).

As for plugins, everything I have continues to work in 10

The transition from 8 to 9 really held nothing of much use for music guys feature wise. 10, on the other hand, has features, such as clip gain and RAM Cache, that make a real difference. My 10.3.2 system is stable as a rock and I use the new features on a full time basis.

I beg to differ. ADC and any interface was a total game changer for Pro Tools

Exactly, mixing/editing on a laptop with no external interface was a huge benefit of 8 -> 9 for me.

I've frozen at PT 9.0.6 because I just don't see a very compelling reason to upgrade. I keep thinking that HDN 10 would be nice, but don't really have a hard need. OTOH there are some AAX plugins appearing like Eventide Blackhole that I'd like to have.
