OT - My hair my hair my hair.....

I'm around the same age and just cut a significant amount of hair. No big deal. I've had "long" hair all of my life, and it WILL grow back.
One thing I know for sure...it's hard to have a decent long hair style these days without shaking the "mullet" stigma. If you cut too much away from the sides, it's considered a mullet, but if you have equally long hair all around your head, it turns into a sloppy mess. Make sure you get someone that knows what they are doing to give you a decent long style and emphasize that you don't want a mullet, and if you have the right cut, you could make it work.

Well... I really thought I would have lost my hair by now. Both my brother and my father are both bald, as well as all my uncles. It wouldnt be the end of the world for me if it did fall out - I would just go ahead and buzz the rest of it. My dad used to have a saying about perfect heads and so forth [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] .....
As humid as it has been here, and it takes 15 minutes to dry it in the morning as it is, I am beginning to have second thoughts!!

the last time I cut my hair (the crying incident) it was because it was a very hot summer. it really didn't make THAT much of a difference. going on three years, and I'm a happy camper. My hair grows slowly, so it's not too long. but it is VERY thick and curly.

besides, silence_of_stone, you might be like Samson. you could lose your engineering skills if you cut it off. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

Had my last haircut long enough ago that I don't know for certain what year it was...maybe1997? I kinda got the same attitude about it as Metaltim, I like to help folks overcome their prejudices!!!
