The uncertainty of this company is off the roof.

No info where the development is heading to next. What features to expect on the next release(s) or when that will be. Remember users pay upfront having no clue of what and when to expect it. Ridiculous as it sounds...is a kind of hostage.
Those ACA survey results, where useless, just smoke and mirrors for the natives and something to use in the video-walls for their shows.

The only thing divA< cares to shout out, is new ways to get more money.
So pathetic...

My thoughts exactly. I can’t believe users are entertaining the idea of paying years in advance to a company that will not tell you what you will get in return.

Saving potentially $600 over three years sounds pretty good to me... besides $297 isn’t much to not worry about updates and support for the next 3 years. But that just me personally

But the fact that Avid will not tell you what you will get for your money doesn’t bother you?

I’m not sure that I have ever seen any software producer do that prior to releasing software. 2019.5 came with a long bug fix list so that is moving in the right direction

I’m not sure I have ever heard of a software company that entices people to pay years in advance. If they had a good track record of actual y implementing features that have been requested then I could probably see the attraction

Sure, but Avid doesn’t do that either.... they have simply sent out a notice of a price increase and I’m taking advantage of the old price while I can. Otherwise it’s a year on year proposition for me.

Will the price of Pro Tools | Ultimate Perpetual still be $399 next year (April 2020) ?

Or should I renew now to make sure it stays $399 until 2021?

Thanks.

Sorry guys I haven’t been paying a whole lot of attention since I parked my system more than 2 years back.

Will I be able to reinstate in another 2 years? I’m sure nobody really knows the future but what about if I wanted to reinstate in September, how much would it cost me would it even be possible?
