Default How to remove a missing video link?

This may be a silly question, but I can't figure out how to remove a missing link to a Quicktime video.

1. I imported a Quicktime into my PTLE 7.4 session as a new track.

2. I later deleted the track like any other PT track.

3. I selected Unused Regions and deleted all files and references.

4. I saved the project and exited Pro Tools.

5. I deleted the original Quicktime file from my hard disk (no longer needing it).

Now, every time I launch this project, the Missing Link dialog prompts me to relink this file, but the file no longer exists.

How can I permanently remove all references to the file from the project, hopefully without having to trash the database and start over?

Thanks,
Sky

Video files aren't selected when you do "Select Unused Regions". Select the video file manually in the Regions List and do a Clear (Shift Apple B) which will remove the file from the session and prevent the session from looking for it.

(Video files also seem not be selected if you choose Select Offline...)

They always are for me. Perhaps you're referring to "Unused Audio except whole Files".

Anyway Shift-Command-U removes unused video files.

As a matter of fact... it does... Never had it do that before... video files were always left in the session... hence my answer. Just tested it now and sure enough you're right Jim...Learn something new everyday!

You CAN'T.

LE does not show video files in "regions" hence you can not remove them.

Try importing your audio tracks into a new session.

You'd need DV Toolkit or Mojo

You're right. Thanks for pointing that out. I did not know that.
