Default c/24 and 192 io calibration

hi,the sound come truth c/24 (mic or instrument)i increase the trim until led clip indicator in c/24 began to flashing(it must be distorted or near the 0db),now send to 192io (via +4 db input or -10db input)and record to audio trac in pt,wave is so thin and also 192io meter show around-6or LOWER!!it means that i cant record any sound in around 0db and all the recorded wave are very thin.in this case i miss my 120db dynamic range of 192io.is there any body knwo about it?

Default Re: c/24 and 192 io calibration

Hi
i have the same problem on my setup (c24 and 192).
I have tried to connect a RME OctamicD on analog input and at the same time on ADAT input, with 1K tone i have 15 db of difference on digital connection vs analog.
why improve the microphone signal to line level and then missing 15db to analog input???
Help???

Losing one side of a balanced line will give the results you are describing. Check your cables(between the C24 and the I/O box) to make sure they are wired to the correct spec(for the DB25 connectors) and verify that you are getting both signal wires(pin 2 hot AND pin 3 cold).
