Default remove iLok password protection?

Does anybody out there know how to remove password protection from an iLok?

I guess I must have set it up as protected when I installed the promo plugs that came with my Mix+. I haven't been aware of it when I've installed new authorizations, but I guess I need to remove the protection to use iLok tools.

launch PT and immediately hold down command p & i. It will go through the usual stuff, and then you'll get a dialog asking for your current password, and it will ask you for a new one. Enter the old, and leave the new ones blank. And thats it.

Make sure you're using Interlok 4.14 as the driver, or it won't work.

Many thanks for this, Captain. Very useful info esp as PACE apparently charge $10 + S&H for the privilege of you sending them your ilok to do ths very thing.

Q: Can I assign a password to my iLok?
A: Digidesign does not support assigning passwords to an iLok Key. You will not be able to register your iLok at iLok.com if it has been password protected.
PACE. If you lose your password, you will need to arrange for this with PACE using the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) Form located on the iLok.com Support pages — in order to get an RMA number. PACE charges $10.00 plus shipping to remove the password from your iLok and return it.

For the record, I got a helpful response from PACE more quickly than I have from any tech-support other than Colin at McDSP, though not nearly as quickly as I did from the DUC!

Is there a compilation of useful PT startup key-combinations anywhere?
