Default PTLE synced with Vegas Video for more audio tracks?

Has anyone tried this or a similar setup with cubase, logic, cakewalk, sonar, etc.?
I can get the two programs to sync up with each other, but I haven't gone into details yet, so I'm not sure if the midi connection will be stable enough. Is there normally problems with midi sync as time passes by (say 3-5 minutes)?

I did a quick test yesterday in Vegas Video where I record armed 100 tracks!!, and off it went...
Prepare for more disk space though if the new standard will be 124 24bit audio tracks...
