Default Structure - transposing pitch globally

Another noob Structure question here.

I have several samples (one on each key) of sound effects. I'm looking to slow the entire set down, say 5 semitones. I've gone into Patch & also Part Transposition and tried changing the pitch, but what I get instead is a change of triggers. The same key pressed will play a different sample but still at original pitch.

What I'm looking for is to press a key, have the same sample play as before, but pitched down by my specified amount. Ideally this would be assigned to a MIDI controller for automating.

Using the Pitch wheel does what I want, to a degree, but the pitch wheel springs back to 0, and I'm looking for a solution that does not do that.

Also - this needs to be something that can be patch independent, so if I have more than one patch loaded at once the pitching I'm doing in this patch doesn't affect another.

Thanks for any help!

Pitch in the zone editor seems to work but I'm not finding how to assign that to a controller. <Control Clicking> doesn't do anything.

Still looking.....

What about using key switching and transposing the root keys in the editor?

I'll have to figure out how to do that. I'm such a noob. ☺ Thanks for the input!
