Default Jumping in time

I've been in a few studios recently running logic and have made use of a very cool feature whereby one can highlight a section of a song, and make the DAW seamlessly skip that section of song, to see whether you like that edit idea.

I've never known of this in PT, does anyone know if there is such a feature? or a workaround?

Not in PT, if you want to try re-arranging a song, save the session again(with a new name like "Song_Experiment"). Enable the ALL group, highlight the section you wish to skip, select SHUFFLE mode and delete. All audio after the deletion will snap into place. I agree its a cool feature, but I rarely find myself wishing for it

I guess it depends on the nature of the work you tend to do... I'm always having to shorten stuff, try new structures etc.

ok, thanks for the reply. I've been doing similar to what you suggested but i normally just duplicate the session in the same session, further down the time line, then try messing around. that way i don't need the ball ache of having to open and close sessions just to try out an idea.
