Default Anyone know of an 8 channel ADC (not boutique!)

Hi,
I need an 8 channel ADC - Tascam/Protools 8 channel analog(ue) in on DSUB25 and output on XLRs or DSUB25 AES. The Genelec 9200A is perfect for me but is only 192KHz and I need 48KHz or maybe 96KHz - so same sort of unit but more flexible sample rates. Anyone know of anything?

Thanks,
Pete

If something says 192k it most probably can handle the lower sampling rates as well...

I've asked Genelec, waiting on an answer. As I said their unit is perfect but appears to be 192KHz only - it only lists 192KHz and has no external switches to change this or any USB connection for software control. If they say there's a DIP switch or something inside then great.

Hopefully they answer. That's a good company from Finland :)

Anyway, my guess is "up to 192k" and you shouldn't have to worry about it. DIP switches or not, high-end products usually work with lower sampling rates too

Knowing the intended application might turn up more options(or cheaper ones)

Of course Genelec isn't known for cheapest products, but one of the most accurate monitors...

It's an internally clocked ADC (not DAC) with no external controls, it would need DIP switches or something like that otherwise it will always output 192KHz. Hopefully Genelec will get back to me and tell me something good about the internals!
