Mtrx Studio DB25 Avid Cable for analog input

Hello everyone here

I'm a happy user of a brand new Hdx Thunderbolt 3 Rack enclosure with a Mic Mini and of course the wonderful Mtrx Studio

I have one little question before finishing my installation I would like to hook up my Analog stuff to the Mtrx via db25 Connector I know they are several cable that seems to be good but are for AesEbu or TDif digital … and so wiring are not compatible…

Is this cable ok ? " Avid DB25 - XLRf Digisnake 4" ? (I didn't find any precise information either in the manual or elswhere) Thanks in advance

Hi,

I did use Alva Cables DB25 to DB25 to connect a MTRX. I like them more than AVID ones, in my opinion, more well build and ergonomic on the connector side. Here´s the link:

Hi Eric, just noticed that you´re after a DB25 to XLR or jack, not DB25 to DB25, so check this ones from Alva as well:

I use proaudiola.com cables because they are handmade from best quality parts. They are almost as good as I could do myself, but saves tons of time to order ready-made cables instead of doing it yourself.

Peakhouse in Germany makes nice Sommercable Dsub ones.

They actually exceed Vovox in terms of transparency.

Sommercable or Mogami, those are the only ones I use. And everywhere Neutrik connectors

I agree, Mogami is excellent as well.

I did a shootout with Mogami Premium and Sommer Premium cables vs Vovox shielded and unshielded variants and both were better than Vovox, Vovox added some kind of sound which made it less transparent.

Avid cables are probably fine but half of the price goes to the name and comparibly, sommer and Mogami are by a good measure better.

If you don't confection cables yourself, I'd recommend Peakhouse for sommer and Sommers epilogue xlr cables.
