Default Sticky Faders 002

I have a brand new 002. This may be a really dumb question, but I'm curious if anyone else has noticed the jerkiness or stickiness of the DIGI-002 faders?

Even in standalone mode it ranges from annoying to quite difficult to raise or lower the faders. I understand that the automated controllers are temperature sensitive and that once they feel the heat from your fingertips they should release, but many (often) times they don't. Am I too cold? What's the trick here?

They aren't temperature sensitive. They respond to the capacitance of your skin. If you try to move a slider with your fingernail, they won't budge. First, make sure the AC cord is indeed grounded as that can affect it. Maybe your fingers are excessively dry? Do you use any kind of powder or cream on your skin? I have never noticed what you describe.
